A day of ice skating!
"Hali?!? Hali?!? Where are you Hal I have a surprise for you!" Mia said. "What do you want Mia??? I was busy doing homework! I don't want to play right now." Hali said "Hali I am going to teach you to ice skate like me before I go to the hospital to get my legs fixed." Mia attempted to get Hali back into a good mood. "REALLY!!! You are?!?!?! Thanks so much Mia!! But how are you going to teach me from your wheelchair?" Hali looked concerned. "I said teach you not show you! I'll tell you what to do from my wheelchair! Now here take this skate bag, and put on my skates!"
"Nice skates Mia! Now how do I do this?" Hali was very excited but confused.. "When you get started stepping onto the ice, hold onto something to keep you from falling. Do you want me to take your glasses just in case you fall?" Mia spoke in a calm, patient voice. "No thanks Mia, I need to see, and if I fall I don't think they will fall off." Hali replied. " Okay then, lets get started!" Mia's voice got louder and more exciting.
"Keep your arms out!" Mia shouted "I think I'm doing it! I am! I'm skating!!! Hali said. "WHOAH!!! Ice is really slippery! Mia you make this look so easy!" "Practice practice practice!!!" Mia said. "WHOAH!!!"
"Hali down! Hali down!" Mia shouted then chuckled. "And your glasses, are they okay? You should have listened to me about taking them off." "I'm fine thanks for asking, and so are my glasses! Now help me get these skates off!" Hali said while still lying on the ground. "You are not quitting just because you fell, Hal. This takes practice and patience, please, don't give up!!" Mia's voice was back to calm and patient. "Fine! But help me up"
"Thanks Mia" Hali said. "Well are you going to skate?" Mia wanted to see that Hali could get back on the ice. "I am, but my glasses aren't!" Hali giggled.
After a few more stumbles and falls, Hali finally learned how to skate. "Thanks a bunch Mia! Look at me now, I'm skating!" Hali was so excited. "Not a problem Hal, now go finish your homework!" Mia said.
Mia's Hospital Experience~ Part 2
As some of you may know, when I received my Mia doll her head was very loose. The head flopped down and there was a big gap between neck and head. So, I called customer service and they happily said that I could send Mia to the hospital to be fixed for free. So, I shipped her off to Wisconsin. 3 long weeks later (Hali wasn't here yet) she arrived home. Her neck was looser, but as I requested, neck strings were there, but not the white nice ones I sent here with, dirty tan frayed ones. And the thing that bothered me the most, her legs! She wouldn't stand up by herself, and when you picked her up, they flopped down. SO, I finally got around to sending her to the hospital again, as they said it would be fixed for free. Here is our story...
"Hi Mia! I found the perfect box for you to go to the hospital in!" Hali said, trying to hide her sadness. "Great! If you pack me up today, you can send me tomorrow!" Mia said, much more happy than Hali, because Mia was excited to be fixed. "Well, are you ready?"
"Yes, I'm ready" Mia said. "Great! I just have to fix up some little dents in this box." Hali replied. "Will it be hard?" Mia asked. "No, I just have to use some tape." Hali's voice was very reassuring.
"Let me brush your hair for you one last time." Hali said. "Okay, thanks Hal. I appreciate it a lot." Mia said.
"Ready to go?" Hali asked Mia. "As ready as I'll ever be, Hal. Come on Licorice, come say goodbye to me." Mia said. "I'm going to miss you, Mia" Hali said.
"Bye bye Mia" "Bye Hal" "Can I wear your clothes while your gone?" Hali asked Mia. Mia was upset with this, but she still said "Sure". "Don't forget to take care of our cat." Mia said, always worried about stuff like that. "What cat?" Hali replied. "HAL!" Mia was upset. "OH! That cat!" Hali realized her mistake and giggled.
"Now all that I need to do is fill out an admittance form." Hali said. "Okay, thanks Hali. Did you spell my name right?" Mia looked concerned. "No Mia, I spelled it left. Of course I spelled it right!" Hali said.
"Cozy in there?" Hali asked. "I'm good ." Mia said. "Have a good time at the hospital, I'll miss you!" Hali said to Mia.

Behind the Scenes!
"Hello everybody! By now you have read many posts of us. This is a special behind the scenes look at AG Doll Fanz. Now, since Mia is at the hospital, obviously she could not be here for the post. Just pretend that Mia is here. Everything I do Mia does too. Ready everybody? Good, lets get started!"
"This is what our bed looks like! It is not American Girl, but a homemade bed made by our caretaker, Hannah! As you can see, we keep Licorice's bed near ours."
"First. before every post, we go off to hair and makeup. This is to make us look extra good on camera! We lie down and let our hair hang over."
"Next. Hannah lightly mists our hair with water. We have to wear old clothes or a hospital gown so that we don't ruin our nice clothes with the water."
"Next Hannah brushes our hair. It helps to keep it looking nice!"
"Our hair is still very wet, so it cannot be styled. We pull our hair back with headbands to keep the water from getting in our eyes, and head off to wardrobe."
"Wardrobe is my favorite part. All of our shirts, pants, dresses, skirts, shoes, and accessories are here. We pick out our outfits and then go to the dressing room."
"I selected the Licorice Play Outfit. This would look so cute in the post!"
"Hey! No peeking! I need to get dressed! When Mia is here, we take turns using the dressing room."

Emily- Just in time for Class!
"Hi Emily!" Hali was trying to be nice to her new friend. "Hello." Emily said back in a shy, British-accented voice. "Well Emily I hate to tell you that you are just in time for school!" "Ok, it's not a problem." Emily said. Have a seat and prepare for home-schooling! Hali replied.
"We are learning about planets, Emily." Our homeschool teacher Hannah said. "We are going to make a folded up big project." Hannah added. "Ok, great!" Emily was excited
The blackboard had exact rules!
The girls both started working on there projects. "Mia isn't going to do this project because she is in the hospital. " Hali said. Hali stared to color her project. "Yours looks really good, Hali." Emily said. "Emily, just call me Hal!"
Playing Outside
Emily and Hali stood by the window. "We should go outside and play!" Emily suggested to Hali. "That's a great idea!" Hali replied. "Hannah, can we go outside and play?" Hali asked while putting on her "I'm so innocent" face. "Yes, you may. But you need to wear a coat." Hannah told them. "Okay, fine." They said together.
"Wow, it' s really nice out hear!" Emily said. "Yeah, it's great!" Hali replied. "Well, come on! Lets play!" Emily was so excited.
"Wow, look at this cute turtle display!" Emily said.
"I am having so much fun playing in the mulch!" Hali said.
"Wow, it's really windy" "Emily replied.

Lincoln Logs!
Just a quick update. Today we decided to play with some Lincoln Logs. It was pretty fun!

The Package From The Guy With The Blue Tie
Hali and Emily were playing. Then the doorbell rang. "I'll get it" Hali shouted. She was hoping it was another nice present from Aunt Mary. A tall guy with a blue tie walked to her. "Is Hannah here?" He asked "I need here to sign for this package." He continued. "Hannah! Hannah?" Hali was shouting. Hali knew it was something good because she read on the box that it was from Wisconsin. Hannah came over and signed for the package. "Thank you." She said. The guy left. Hannah knew what was in the package, but she told Hali to take it to Emily. Hali dragged over the heavy package.
"What's in there?" Emily asked. "I don't know." Hali said. "Lets try to figure this out." Emily told Hali. Ever since Emily came along, Hali had been having more competition with book smarts. Emily was especially good at math. "I need to know what is in this box! Let's just open it!" Hali said. "No! We need to figure this out." Emily said.
"It looks about 18 inches" Emily said. "See if it's doll sized" She continued. "How do I do that?" Hali asked. "Lye on top of it!" Emily said. "Hali went on top of it. "It is doll sized!" She said.
"On the count of three, we open it." Emily said. They ripped open the package.
"MIA!" Hali shouted Mia was in the box! "Hi Hali!" Mia said.
Mia sat up in the box. "Who are you?" She said to Emily. "I'm Emily Bennett. I just got here less than a week ago. It's great to meet you! I have heard so much about you!" Emily said. "Oh wow! So, like your in our family, like do the website and stuff? Mia asked. "Yep" Emily said. "Mia, why aren't you in a hospital gown?" Hali asked. "I arrived at the hospital and went to the waiting room. A few days later a nice lady came over and said that the doctor would be right with me. I went into the room. I gave them my hospital form and note. On the note it said that they did not want my neck strings removed. The doctor said if I wanted my legs any tighter the would have to give me a plastic tie. I was a little disappointed but I was so homesick! So they sent me home and that was the end of that." Mia said.
Emily lifted Mia out of the box. "I am so happy to meet you!" Emily said. Let's undo your braid and get you some clothes." Emily continued. "Let's play charades!" Mia shouted.
Mia went to a pose. "A swan?" Emily asked. "No, no, she's ice skating!" Hali said. "Okay, it's my turn now right?" Emily asked. "No silly! It means she wants to ice skate!" Hali stated. "Oh!" Emily said.
Ice Skating!
"Tada!" Hali and Emily said to Mia. "Now you can ice skate" Emily added. "Thanks!" Mia said.
"May I help you on the ice?" Emily asked. "Certainly" Mia replied. Mia was so happy to be getting back onto the ice.
"Wow Mia you're really good!" Emily exclaimed. "I get that a lot!" Mia said.
Easter!
Easter is also my dog, Patches, birthday. We put his presents in his dog house and cover up the door with a piece of paper until he wakes up to find them. It is really fun to watch him open them! He bites off a piece of paper and spits it out to unwrap them. This is a picture of my dog.
First we need to thank Quinlyn for the cute bunny ear idea on Licorice. I also think we should thank Hali for making it.
Hannah told the girls to line up with Licorice. The three of them were dressed nicely in their pretty Easter outfits. Emily didn' t want to wear her shoes because she claimed they were too small. Well, you know who won that war. "Okay, first, you need to find your basket. Each one of your baskets are hidden somewhere here. If you find someone else's basket, don't tell them where it is. After you find your basket, come back and sit in the divider with your name on it." Hannah said. "GO!"
The girls searched and searched and eventually all found their baskets. They went to the correct divider with their names on them and waited almost patiently.
The girls finally got to open there baskets! No one could see what the others got, so it was a big surprise. Each girl got 3 balls, a toy dinosaur, a die, and a special surprise just for them. Mia got hair ties, Hali got a lion shaped eraser, and Emily got as bobble head dog that looks like Yank. "Okay, next is the egg hunt!" Hannah said. "Make sure that you save your baskets, that is where you will put your eggs! I have a big surprise for all of you for Easter at the end, and the person that finds the most eggs gets to be the first one to see it!" Emily, Mia, and Hali were now very excited. There was much competition between the three of them so this was big. Now it was time to start the hunt!
The girls had a lot of fun hunting for eggs! After they found an egg, the would take it to there basket.
After all of the eggs were found, the girls lined up. "Who would like to take the wagon over to the counting area?" Hannah asked. Hali quickly raised her hand. (She's the only one with tight enough limbs to raise her hands)
Hali pulled the wagon with the Easter baskets into the dining room. Licorice took a little ride! Mia and Emily followed closely behind.
Hannah then counted the eggs. "Emily, you have five eggs. Hali, you have six eggs. And Mia, you have four eggs." Hannah Said. "Congratulations Hali! You get to come see what the surprise is before anyone else." Hannah continued.
"Wow what a beautiful doll!" Hali said. "I can't wait to show Mia and Emily!"
"Wow that's really pretty!" Emily said. "Wow! I LOVE that doll!" Mia said, Everyone gathered around Hali to see this doll.
The girls got to have some fun in the wagon and got to have some fun playing around. They posed for one last photo (which you can see on our homepage). We all had a great Easter! We hope everyone else did, too!
Mia Goes To The Hair Salon
One day Mia woke up very excited. She knew that today was her special day. Every girl is going to get their own special day to just do what they want. Mia's day was first because she was the first doll. Last night Mia said she had wanted to go to the Hair Salon to get her hair done. Hannah arranged babysitters for Hali and Emily and off Mia went. "What kind of hairstyle would you like?" The lady asked. "I want to have temporary wavy hair, like Quinlyn's Julie." Mia said. "Okay, I think that that can be arranged!" The lady said.
The first thing the lady did was braid Mia's hair. Mia was so excited. Then she misted it with lots of water. "Okay, I think we are ready to take out the braids!" The lady said.
"WOW!!!" Mia said. She absolutely loved her hairstyle. "Thank you!" Mia said to the hair salon lady as she started to go home.
Morning Cartoons
The girls all put on comfy clothes getting ready for their favorite morning cartoons. They turned off all of the lights and got comfy in bed.

Hali had to leeave to go to some classes, so she missed some cartoons. Meanwhile, Emily fell asleep.
"EMMIE!!!!!" Mia shouted trying to wake Emily up. It worked, and they had a good time watching cartoons for the rest of the day.
