All about our cat Licorice
This is our cat Licorice. She was a Christmas present to us. We are looking forward to doing more activities with her to post.
Licorice Paper Dress Up
'"Hi Licorice!" Hali said. Licorice looked at her. "I am going to make you some clothes out of paper!" Hali was so excited. Normally she used fabric, but she was all out from making Mia new mittens.
"I am going to make you a tiara and a dress." Hali said. "So I am going to need your measurements. Please remove your collar." Hali said, forgetting that Licorice was a cat. "Oh sorry!" Hali removed the collar from Licorice and began to take measurements.
"I am going to cut this paper so it looks like a crown." Hali said. She started to cut the paper like a zigzag. "This will look so pretty once we finish!"
"I'll start by drawing on little pink jewels with marker." Hali said. This will make your tiara look prettier and more decorative." Hali added. "Next, I am going to color it gold with crayon to make it look real."
"Here you go Licorice! It looks so nice on you!" Hali was impressed by what she did. "It fits you perfectly! Now for the dress." Hali said.
"I started by cutting it to your size. Now I am going to fold it down to make a collar." Hali said. Licorice looked at her funny. "Not like collar in collar and leash, but like a shirt collar." Hali said. "Now we just need to color it."
"I am going to use rainbow crayon for the collar. Then I am going to pick a nice color for the rest of the dress." Hali said. Hali started to look through her crayon box and she found the perfect color. "Here is a nice violet color for the rest of the dress." Hali thought the color was absolutely gorgeous. "You are one lucky cat!" Hali said.
"Licorice, I finished." Hali said proudly while waving the dress in the air. "Come try it on." She said.
"Oh wow!" Hali said as she fastened the button. "This looks wonderful! It fits you perfectly! Hali was so excited.
"Licorice, you look great!" Hali said "Just like a real princess!" "Meow" Licorice said.
Licorice Training School
Hali called for Licorice. Hali was getting upset that Licorice could not do normal tricks like normal pets. So, Hali decided to try to teach Licorice some simple, yet necessary tricks
"Here Licorice/" Hali said. Hali picked up Licorice and put her at a desk. "There you go." Hali was surprised at how well Licorice behaved. "Now first on our list is to put on your collar." Hali said. "Next you will be learning some tricks.
"First, you are going to fetch your ball!" Hali was excited. "FETCH" she said as she through the ball.
"Oh, great Licorice, you brought back the ball!" Hali was impressed.
Next, Hali tested Licorice on some easy tricks. The tricks she taught her were sit, lye down, roll over, and play dead. Licorice easily caught on to the tricks. Licorice loved to roll over.
"Licorice, you passed all of your tests!" Hali was excited. "To congratulate you, you are getting an official diploma. I will hang it on the wall for everyone to see." Hali was so proud of her cat.
Licorice went and grabbed her ball. She was so proud of herself!
